Welcome to the Sleep and Mental Health Lab
Investigating the Sleeping Mind.
Exploring the relationship between sleep, dreaming and mental health through behavioral and neurophysiological research.
Research Focus
The Sleep and Mental Health Lab investigates the relationship between sleep neurophysiology, dreaming and psychological well-being.
Using methods such as high-density EEG, behavioral measures and dream reports, we study how neurophysiological sleep processes relate to subjective dream experiences and mental health across both clinical and non-clinical populations.
Our research aims to better understand how sleep and dreaming reflect, influence and interact with mental health.
Dreamscape Study
What happens in the sleeping brain, and how does it shape our dreams and mental health?
The Dreamscape Study investigates the relationship between sleep neurophysiology, dream experiences and mental health using high-density EEG and dream reports.
Interested in participating in our research?
We are currently recruiting participants for ongoing sleep and dream studies.
Our Research
Our Research combines neurophysiological, behavioral and clinical measures to better understand how sleep
and dreaming relate to mental health.
Dreamscape
Investigating how sleep neurophysiology and dream experiences are shaped by mental health and pharmacological treatment.
We study both healthy and clinical populations, across development and in adulthood.
Sleep P
Investigating how sleep and psychological well-being are interconnected on the threshold of adolescence.
Sleep Subtypes
Investigating how sleep patterns in adolescence relate to depressive symptoms and psychological well-being over time.
Meet the Team
Our interdisciplinary team combines expertise in sleep research, psychology, neuroscience and computational science to investigate the links between sleep, dreaming and mental health.
