Research Focus
The Sleep and Mental Health Lab investigates the relationship between sleep, circadian rhythms and mental health in clinical and non-clinical populations. Our goal is to translate our findings into actionable insights that inform prevention, intervention, and public health initiatives targeting sleep and mental health.
Using multimodal approaches including high-density sleep and waking EEG, actigraphy, behavioral assessments, clinical interviews and questionnaires we aim to elucidate the role of sleep and circadian rhythms in mental health across development and psychiatric conditions.
Our values are a collaborative and supportive research environment grounded in transparency, scientific rigor, and mutual respect. We are committed to teaching , training the next generation of scientists, and ensuring that participation in our studies is a positive and rewarding experience.
On-going Study: Dreamscape Study
What happens in the dreaming brain, and does it matter for our mental health?
The Dreamscape Study investigates the relationship between sleep neurophysiology, dream experiences and mental health using high-density EEG and dream reports.
Interested in participating in our research?
We are currently recruiting participants for ongoing sleep and dream studies.
Our Research
Our Research combines neurophysiological, behavioral and clinical measures to better understand how sleep
and dreaming relate to mental health.
Dreamscape
Investigating how sleep neurophysiology and dream experiences are shaped by mental health and pharmacological treatment.
We study both healthy and clinical populations, across development and in adulthood.
Sleep P
Investigating how sleep and psychological well-being are interconnected on the threshold of adolescence.
Sleep Subtypes
Investigating how sleep patterns in adolescence relate to depressive symptoms and psychological well-being over time.
