She is currently a group leader and senior scientist at the University Hospital for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at the University of Bern in Switzerland. She is also an adjunct assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at the Alpert Medical School of Brown University in the United States. Chiara went on to become a licensed psychotherapist for children and adolescents and has worked, amongst other institutions, at the University Hospital for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Psychotherapy in Bern, Switzerland. In late 2018, she started her PhD in Leila's group. During her studies, she was working at the University Psychiatric Clinics (UPK) in Basel as a research assistant in a study investigating sleep and a novel treatment approach to pediatric depression (Omega-3-fatty acid supplementation).
